SkyRoll: Edge is a casual 3D rolling-ball game that we are making for iPhone. You steer a ball along floating tracks high above the clouds, keep it from rolling off the open edges, and finish each level at the finish gate.

The idea
There are no walls on the tracks, so small, steady moves make the difference. The game is played in landscape, and every level is a short run against the clock: a faster finish earns more stars.
What the current development build contains
- 140 levels in 14 chapters, ten levels per chapter; a fifteenth chapter is marked “Coming soon”. See the worlds and the level explorer.
- Two control modes: Touch Drag and Joystick. See how to play.
- Stars for every finished level, based on par and gold times, and chapters that unlock as you collect them.
- Obstacles that arrive chapter by chapter, from jump pads and moving platforms to rotors, ice, bounce mushrooms and heat vents, and in the newest chapters magnetic fields, domino chains, spotlight bridges, mirror portals, rotating rooms and gravity flips.
- Also in the build: checkpoints for continuing after a fall, and a ghost of your own best run that you can switch off in Settings.

The newest chapters
Chapters 12 to 14 are the latest additions to the build: Toybox Metropolis (magnets, dominoes and a city of toys), Moonlit Manor (spotlight bridges and mirror portals) and Gravity Archive (flip gravity, turn the rooms). Each has its own page in the worlds section. Their times and layouts are new and may still change a lot.

Where the project stands
SkyRoll: Edge is in development. It is not released: there is no release date, no App Store page and no price yet, and we will publish each of them on this site once they are confirmed. The project currently targets iOS 15.6 or later, and the final requirements and supported iPhone models will be confirmed before release.
Everything described here is the state of the current development build and may change.
Where to look next
- Worlds: a page for each of the 14 chapters.
- Levels: search and filter all 140 levels.
- How to play: controls, stars and unlocks.
All images in this post are “Editor captures”: they were taken in the Unity Editor from the development build and are not photos from a real iPhone. Details may change before release.
